Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken after the sun went down on the way home from a shoot. We saw a driveway lined with cherry blossoms so we ran over to the owner and she said play as long as you like! Shannon is a beautiful model from Victoria BC and an all around lovely human person.
Time
Just after sun down
Lighting
Shot this super high iso sadly because it was a quick stop on the side of the road with no time for set up. All natural light.
Equipment
Canon 6d 50mm 1.2
Inspiration
I just love the romance of cherry blossoms and when we saw this we had to stop!
Editing
I edited it in photo shop to try and save it. It was really dark. Not one of my best shots ever but it was worth a save.
In my camera bag
I always bring mu canon 6d my 5diii a 50mm1.2 and a couple extra lenses. I mostly shoot with natural light but I often have flash and light setups in my car just incase.
Feedback
I love to shoot wide open at 1.2 this can be tricky and when I shot this it was a while ago I was still learning. The best advice I have is a steady hand when you are working with a slice of focus but the creamy skin tones and beautiful bokeh is worth learning. I edited it with a bit of a matte romantic look in photoshop by playing with curve layers. I added a bit of blue back into the photo after for a cooler tone.
