Mid morning walking through the rainforest, this seemed like an oasis - a resting spot - a place to stop & reflect.Lighting
Natural light is a beautilful thing, highlighting the tops of the ferns, hiding the stream below in their shade. As this was taken in mid morning there was a soft light giving even tones - no over exposure due to harch light.Equipment

Was wanting to capture a sense of serenity/tranquility away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. This scene reminds me to slow down & breath again. Looking at this image encourages me to go back again, perhaps to re-calibrate & breath again.Editing

Have now updated to a Canon 5D mk4 with a 24-70, 100mm Macro, 50mm & 100-300mm. No flash (Prefer to use available light)Feedback
My preference is for natural lighting (Usually avoiding midday light), as this gives a better tonal range as it's an even light. Ferns pictured without seeing too many trunks - except in the background where they belong to other species, calling attention to their leaves. The streams subtle flow of water is accentuated with its small white highlights.
