After the 2 bears finished greeting each other, they went up the trail that led to the secondary beaver pond. I knew that I could view the pond from the road , so when the bears disappeared , I ran to the road and continued up the sidewalk to the section that had the least folliage so I could get some shots of the bears in the water. I knew this was a safe location because it was far enough from the bears and had dense foliage that would allow me to take photos without disturbing the bears. When the bears left, I hobbled home with my broken zoom lens and promptly started cleaning all my cuts and abrasions. MENTAL NOTE: ALWAYS KEEP A MINI FIRST AID KIT IN MY CAMERA CASE FROM NOW ON.

I have wanted to take a shot like this for YEARS and finally the BEARS were there. It is now my most treasured photo beside the one of the bear cubs at my back door
