This was taken in the morning as the sun was rising through the trees just after a rain shower.Lighting
As the sun was rising fortunately the clouds begin breaking up so I was able to get the sunburst I was looking for.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Nikon D610 and 16-35 lens.Inspiration
I had parked along a country road with some hills where there were many Oak Trees with lots of Spanish Moss on them. I thought these were some nice shots but as the sun was breaking through the clouds I decided to incorporate a sunburst as well. I was happy when I reviewed the photo and saw the sunburst.Editing
I processed this in LR and using a plugin from On1.In my camera bag
I carry along with my D610 a 16-35 mm and an 80-400 mm Nikon lens. I cary a lightweight tripod and ND filters.Feedback
When I'm trying to get a sunburst through trees I try to get the sun partially blocked by the tree branches or leaves so my sunburst is not to large and doesn't dominate the scene.
