Great shot - you had to be in the right place at the right time to get this expression.

Location
The photo was taken on the island of Bornholm in Denmark. This young owl is accustomed to having people around , so it was not particularly difficult to get close to it. The photo was taken at a distance of about 15 meters.Time
The picture was taken on July 16, 2014 at 12:33 PM, a few seconds after my picture " Sleepy owl "Lighting
It was sunny that day , but the owl had placed itself on a pole where there was no direct sunlight. Exif information is 400mm - 1/1250 sec - f/5.6 - ISO 400.Equipment
The photo was taken handheld on a Canon 7D with a Canon 400mm f5.6L prime.Inspiration
Owls and other birds of prey have always been a great inspiration for me. They are incredibly beautiful birds and certainly not always easy to get close.Editing
Post -processing was made in Lightroom. The image is slightly cropped . I have removed some noise, the curse of 7D, and added a little sharpness. In my camera bag
My bag usually includes two cameras, a Canon 7D and a Canon 5D MK III . For these cameras I use Canon 400mm f / 5.6L Canon 70-200mm f / 2.8 L II and Canon 24-105 F / 4L . In addition, there are often different filters and a mono or tripod .Feedback
Get up close and then even closer.
