Location
The photo was taken during a rain shower in my gardenTime
It was in the morning hours, around 8 am. The sky was more or less fully covered, but still some shallow light causing these reflections on the rain drops.Lighting
I needed f/8 for sufficient depth of field. With the very little light, I ended at shutter times of more than a second. The falling raindrops however, and a slight breeze caused some motion on the blossom, so I decided to go to ISO 1600. This gave me a resulting shutter time of 1/8s which finally allowed me a non-motion-blurred image.Equipment
Taken on a tripod with a 100mm macro prime lens.Inspiration
The intense colours during the rain inspired me to try shooting some blossoms during rain.Editing
Not much of postprocessing, developed with LR without adding any denaturalising. In my camera bag
As I could take the image in my garden, I wasn't carring a bag. Most important equipment for this picture was the lenshood against raindrops on the front lens and an umbrella to make the camera and me more feel more comfortable...Feedback
Be aware of motion blur while macro shooting at long exposure times, and have an umbrella with you.
