Behind The Lens

Location

My impish daughter loves the privacy of her room. On this rare occasion I was invited in...

Time

This was taken mid morning on the weekend. Normally we are out of the flat in a blur... school to get to!

Lighting

Lighting was all natural. Our home is blessed with a lot of natural light.

Equipment

Canon 5d mark 11 is my weapon of choice. Standard 24-105 lens is fantastic for portraits

Inspiration

My daughter, the reluctant model, is used to my requests and puts up with me snapping her any time, any place.

Editing

I shoot raw and converted this into black and white using the photoshop variations option. I did lighten the face slightly as it was quite shaded.

In my camera bag

Usually my bag contains my 5d mark 11 along with an old canon 400d as backup.

Feedback

I am so lucky to have a photogenic son and daughter.Bribes often help in the shooting process...I find chocolate particularly helpful!
