Silvereyes - or wax-eyes as they're sometimes also known - are diminutive little birds weighing in at only around 10g. I had been watching a small flock of silvereyes fighting with quite a strong wind. As they tried to run along the top of this fence, they would get caught out by the gaps between the palings and fall off. This wee guy seemed to have learnt the best way not to fall off was to walk along very slowly especially where the gap was...and I was lucky enough to catch him mid-stride
