Meet Bob the Blind Barred Owl. Bob is actually a female. She had a head-on collision with a car in 1999 causing severe trauma to both of her eyes. Unfortunately, humans and human-made things are what cause the majority of injuries and deaths to owls and other birds of prey. Bob cannot hunt since she can no longer see, and lives at the Carolina Raptor Center. She is one of the birds in their amazing raptor education program.
