South Africa is a beautiful country but massive parts of the Northern Cape province here is very arid. But once a year the arid Karoo explodes into an ocean of colour when wild flowers start to bloom for miles on end to welcome spring. They last for about a week or three depending on good follow up rains. Tourists from all over the world come to see this phenomenon that's there one day and gone the next for another year.
