Behind The Lens

Location

it was taken in an old hotel/condo type room in the heart of the city

Time

its around past 6pm of one stormy night

Lighting

it was lit with a single light source

Equipment

i used basic equipment for the photo, a d40 with a 18-55 kit lens, a manual flash with a diy reflector bowl and 10 deg. grid

Inspiration

i was trying to make something dark and sexy, somewhat classy sexy

Editing

yes i did, i enhanced the skin, remove blemishes, smoothen the skin a bit. i also changed the color of the lingerie shes wearing because they didnt match.

In my camera bag

nowadays i have 1 camera body a d5100 with battery grip, a kit lens, a manual 50mm nikkor, a 70-300 sigma apo with macro, 2 flash units sometimes 3, a set of gels, 2 remote receivers, a remote trigger, my diy reflector bowl, a 10 deg. grid, a tethering cable and a laptop.

Feedback

probably dont hesitate to try out something new. plan ahead and make illustrations on paper of what you want to achieve and where to put your lights, if you cant draw make the illustrations in your head :) or get some sample images as a guide. talk to your model before hand of how the shoot will be and what kind of images you want to produce. have fun shooting and always talk to your model and share your ideas so you can collaborate more so it will be easier to do the shoot. and have food around, models are fond of eating :) and just have fun doing it
