Taken at Wilsons Promontory or as the locals call it The Prom, is a beautiful area of a wide mixture of beaches, bush walks and wildlife. As we drove along we en-countered wombats wondering alone the side of road and a deer crossing our path. But as the sun sets that's when the fun begins. The 50,500-hectare (125,000-acre) national park is the southernmost national park on mainland Australia, known for its beautiful rainforests, unspoiled beaches, and abundant wildlife. A lighthouse on the south-east corner of the peninsula is the southern-most lighthouse on mainland Australia and has operated continuously since 1859.
