Behind The Lens

Location

Roald on the island Vigra outside Aalesund in norway.

Time

00.43.00 at night.

Lighting

F 4,5-15 sec. -Iso 6400-

Equipment

Lens Sigma 10-20 mm F 4-5,6 DC HSM. I use Nikon D5200.

Inspiration

I am out every night from september to april when the Aurora Borealis is strong. I have an app where i can follow how strong Aurora Is. I love to take Pictures of Aurora Borealis.

Editing

I always take my photos in Raw. I use Lightroom.

In my camera bag

I have 2 Nikon d5200. One Sigma 10-20 mm. Nikon 18-55 mm. 6 batteries-SD card 2x32 gb-1 x 64 gb-2x16 gb-2 x 8 gb. Phottix Arion remote control. Headlight.

Feedback

The stronger aurora borealis is you must go down on Iso from 800-3200. F 4,5 to 11 and if it is very strong you can use only 3 sec. When it is not so strong uptil 30 sec.
