I really think with the blue in the sky really adds to the light of the buildings reflecting on the water.Equipment

The reflection of the light from the buildings for me made the area look magical with the added beauty of the millennium bridge above leading to the iconic building that is ST Paul cathedral.Editing
I took 2 photos for the highlights of St pauls and the light reflection so i could bring back the hightlights blown out to get the right light for all areas of the photo and then blended in with the use of Photoshop.In my camera bag

makes sure for one the water is at hightide because you wont get the reflection like my shot . So that might be looking at tide times before you head out and also for me is do it at twilight. It just adds so much more than a big dark boring sky.
