Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the village where I live and have my home, Sint-Gillis-Waas, which is known for the extensive fields, nature and wind turbines.

Time

I took this photo at one my favourite hours of the day, sunset, around 19h30 pm, Belgium time.

Lighting

I wanted this picture to look misterious and take advantage of the sunset and shadow play.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon COOLPIX L830 using a tripod and no flash or artificial light.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the fact that I am independent and live alone and how amazing little by little and day by day life changes and everything around us, how we humans move and build our life and rearrange it just like nature's seasons.

Editing

I have increased the colour contrast, crop a little and adjust the deepening of colours.

In my camera bag

I always take my camera and shutter with me when I go for a walk.

Feedback

One of the major features of a landscape photographer is to take advantage of the surroundings and the natural light during the different hours of the day.
