The picture was taken at my home in Idaho on our front porch. Taking pictures of flowers is something I’ve always wanted to do.Time
It was around noon when I took this picture. A beautiful sunny day.Lighting
It was very sunny out but the lighting on our front porch was perfect! Not so windy and not too bright.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon Powershot SX520 HS at aperture f4.0, iso 160 and exposure 1/100. No other special effects, lenses or flash.Inspiration

My Canon has an amazing zoom so I usually try to take my tripod for better pictures. I also have a mini tripod in my bag. Otherwise I usually only have an extra battery on hand.Feedback
Pick the perfect lighting or time of Day. It helped that my house is a soft grey for the background that actually looked almost white at this time of day. It helped make the flowers beautiful colors pop!
