My wife kicked me out of bed at 4am so we could drive an hour to get to location in time for the sunrise. Not generally a morning person and sometimes I need a little motivation to get up but definitely one of my favourite times of the day.Lighting
I love the way the light highlights the sand and wash from the surf leaving patterns around the rocks.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 5D mk3, tripod and wireless remote (no filters).Inspiration
I just love nature in every way, especially when the sun kisses the the sky and for the very first time of the day.Editing
I generally take most of my landscape photos in RAW format so I used a little post-processing in Adobe Lightroom 5.In my camera bag
When going out out to do landscape shoots I'm usually carrying my very much loved Canon 5D mk3, 17-40mm and 70-200mm lenses, tripod and wireless remote. So need to get hold of some graduated ND filters, there has been so many times I could have used them.Feedback
Get up early and get motivated. It's well worth it even if you don't get the shot.
