A wonderful image with a great story to go with it. I'm a big fan of backlit photos, you have mastered the art!

Location
In Enkhuizen (Holland) we have got a great outdoor museum, all about fisherman's life around the year 1900. Small towns have been rebuild in an authentic environment and old techniques, crafts and everydays life is shown, it's the greatest place to take photos!Time
It was about two PM when I saw these wonderful salted fish hanging to dryLighting
I was walking in this wonderful outdoor museum when the beautiful colors of the drying fish, backlit by the sun caught my eyes.Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ60, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a camera...The best thing about this camera is that it has a good Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket.Inspiration
Some years ago I visited this "outdoor museum" with my father, he was at the end of his life. He grew up in a fisherman's village at the beginning of the 20th century, exactly like the museum had rebuild and he told me a lot of stories while we were walking through history... he said that he was so happy that I had brought him "home" at the end of his life... So I wanted to go back there and try to capture this feeling in a photo. Light shining over past times...Editing
I didn't do any post-processing, this is a natural shot.In my camera bag
I don't have a bag of equipment at all, only my Lumix DMC-TZ60, a wonderful intelligent automatic pocketcamera wich practically fits in my backpocket. It shows that you do not have to use expensive and big cameras to achieve nice results... just a good eye for detail and composition.Feedback
As a hobby photographer I am allways looking for light and color. When I find an opportunity like this dried fish, nicely backlit by the sun, I try to find a nice point of view to take some photos at slightly different angles. Don't forget to look at the background too... it's very dissapointing to find out later that some distracting items spoil your catch! Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
