Behind The Lens

Location

At the time I was on a course for photography and had to find away of capturing landscape and sport, the hill that is close to me is Pendle Hill, famous for the witches, that once believed to live around Pendle and was captured and taken to Lancaster castle another story. But now its become a local attraction and we now get people paragliding of the top. This day I had gone for a walk with my old bridge camera (fuji fine pix D-SLR) this my first camera and first level of the course sure to capture one of my favourite sport the art of falconry unfortunately my friends that practice this sport where not up on the hill that day. so on my way back this chap with is equipment flying above him was blocking the path so I sat down and realised that actual the shoot needed was right there in front of me instantly I take out the camera lie down in the grass supported on a rock ands art to shoot putting in to action what i had been learning on focusing, and light ballance i set up my camera with the leading lines of the path in to the distance and luckily the clouds where angled in the same direction which gave the image the sense of lift in the parachute and captures the energy in the image. the image was edited in adobe and felt that the black and white with spot red colour made the work more interesting.
