I think I died and went to heaven!
Everything works for me, the colors, the lines
leading to the horizon, the sun flare to the left.
Just gorgeous.

Such a fantastically gorgeous shot! Two of my favorite things in one image - flowers (in my favorite colors - blue and purple) and sunsets :). Such a beautiful combination of the two!

Lovely capture, are those Lavender plants? I remember flying over fields of Tulips when I went to Amsterdam, that was also a great sight!

Albert your images always visually resonate with my soul. There is a magical quality about many of them that makes your image making draw in the eye and wish that we are there too. It is really armchair travelling!

Location
I took this photo in a flower field in the Netherlands. These flowers are only blossoming a very short time each year. During this time, a lot of dutch photographers go out to take photos of them. Catching a nice sunset with it is a plus, which I did here. The sunset really matched the colours of the flowers.Time
This was captured around 7:30 PM when the sun was going down.Lighting
The lighting is a crucial part of this photograph. I wanted to take this photo when the sun was very low so that the light on the flowers wasn't at the strongest, but I still wanted to shed enough light on them to get them beautifully lit by the sun.Equipment
This was shot with a Sony A7II along with the Samyang 14mm f2.8.Inspiration
I love colourful scenes. This is actually the first flower season I seriously went out a lot to shoot the flowers and it paid off. I really wanted some good shots and this was one of them.Editing
This photo is a composite of multiple photos. There is 1 longer exposure for the sky, and another exposure for the flowers. Also, The actual exposure of the flowers was actually lit too strong by the sun, so I took an extra exposure when the sun was down, and blended that in very subtle, to reduce the actual hard light cast on the flowers. I could only do this because the flowers were very still, there was no wind!In my camera bag
My equipment consists of a Sony A7II with the 28-70 kit, the 55mm f1.8 zeiss for portraits, the 16-35 f4 zeiss for landscapes, and the Samyang 14mm f2.8 for even wider landscapes and astrophotographyFeedback
Find the best possible light or scenario to capture these kind of scenes. I had a beautiful sunset this time, but a very scary sky with thunder clouds would be awesome too. I rarely shoot this kind of scenes during complete daytime as they are quite boring. To make a shot like this perfect, you need the perfect weather.
