Location
This photo was taken from the observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York City.Time
The photo was taken around 4 or 5pm on a very blistering cold and windy winter's day. I recall actually struggling to get the shot as the winds were so fiercely strong that high up on that specific day that it would literally blow my camera in many different directions making it almost impossible to capture any images without experiencing some type of motion blur while trying to maintain the right shutter speed and iso.Lighting
The lighting was perfect with an overcast so there was no need to use flash or a high iso as the sun would slightly penetrate through the clouds with incredible golden rays of light.Equipment
Canon EOS 7D with a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens. No Flash. No Tripod.Inspiration
The beautiful and mesmerizing scenery which was breathtaking to say the least of an incredible city built by men who helped shape America into what it is today.Editing
To bring out a lot more of the intricate details of all the buildings, skyscrapers, bridges, etc I processed this image in HDR.In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon EOS 7D, Canon 18-135mm, Canon 50mm, Canon 70-300mm Zoom Lens, tripod, 600 ex-rt Flash, Canon st-e3 rt transmitter, several lens filters, extra lithium, batteries, battery grip, lens cleaning supplies, rechargeable batteries, rechargeable battery pack, several memory cards, many usb flash drives and a few other things. Yeah it's a pretty heavy backpack lol.Feedback
