The first time I went to Sydney (from Melbourne by train) there was a storm over Picton. Is your area more prone to storms than anywhere else in the region or do you just get out and photograph them?

We get storms here (Penrith) too, but I have no vantage points. A storm over suburban rooftops isn't very interesting and I'm not going to go up to a lookout in the lower Blue Mountains in a storm!
