Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Moraine lake, Alberta, Canada. It was a great little hike around the lake.

Time

The photo was taken likely in the early afternoon

Lighting

I wanted to capture the majestic beauty of the mountain lakes, the absolutely pristine lakes and the combination of the colors - each contrasting and complementing each other in a perfect fashion

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Nikon D700, no flash or a tripod. The lens is a sigma

Inspiration

The absolute beauty of the Canadian Rockies

Editing

I likely did, but it was many years ago, and I do not remember what was done exactly.... :)

In my camera bag

My Nikon D700 camera, a couple of lenses, extra battery, a filter, a backup point and shoot camera

Feedback

Try different angles and to get the effect you want with the water, as depending where you are shooting from, the more / less reflection you will have. Also try to stick to the rule of 3rds, but do not be afraid to bend the rules as long as you know what effect you are trying to achieve.
