Location
The photo was taken in the Battistero of Florence, using a very small tripod and shooting multiple times and long exposure to manage to get the tourists out of the shot. In this case I used a high aperture so I could most of the ceiling in focus and used a portable remote to trigger the camera and avoid shake. The camera I used, luckily had a tilt-able screen so I could review the ceiling while being completely on the floor.Time
It was probably around midday, but since we are on the inside of the building the exact time did not really make a difference.Lighting
I did not use any flash lights or anything in particular, as the dome was beautifully lit.Equipment
I used a Sony a6000 for this shot and a small portable tripod (ultrapod). I used the sony wide angle lens (10-18mm), a remote trigger and alot of patience. I did not use a filter for this particular shot.Inspiration
The Battistero interior is amazing and as a tourist photographer I couldn't resist no taking a shot of the ceiling. There was lots of activity inside the small building and a limited number of people can go in at a time so I patiently waited until I had a clear view of the ceiling.Editing
The post processing I did was all done in Lightroom and was mainly the enhancement of the colours, slight increase in clarity and possibly a bit of shadow recovery. In my camera bag
At the moment I am shooting with the A7rii and the A7ii. I use the following lenses Sel35f14, Batis 85mm f1.8, Batis 25mm f2 and for travel I am using the combination of Sel55z f1.8 and the Sel1635z. I also use a very handy shoulder strap and the Ultrapod when I am abroad. With me I also have some D filters, multiple SD cards and multiple batteries.Feedback
You have to be patient to get the shot and also at the same time not disturb other fellow travelers. My friend who I travelled with me on this trip to Italy did not even have the patience to enter the Battistero as there was a bit of a waiting queue... well at least he can now see the ceiling from my shot.
