Behind The Lens

Location

At home in my small studio

Time

This took place over the weekend (01-03-2015) when my daughter was available to pose. I planned the shot especially for her because she reminds me of Angelina Jolie and i just loved the movie Maleficent. I took time to do her make up as close as i could referring to Maleficent's look.

Lighting

In my studio i have three lights that i normally use but in this case i only used 2 because i wanted a darker mysterious look.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D7100 with a 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

Angelina Jolie - The movie Maleficent

Editing

Yes i use portrait professional version 11 to smooth the skin out. I also use it to brighten the eye's. The wing was an edit done on photoshop Cs5.

In my camera bag

I carry my Nikon D7100 with me al the time with the standard lens. Because my studio is tiny i cannot use a bigger lens as space is very limited. I do however have lenses ranging up to 500mm

Feedback

You have to have a place that you can hire costumes from. In my case i used Hollywood Costumes - Krugersdorp- South Africa. Of course a model that match the description of the theme you are about to shoot. a Make up artist if you're not able to do it yourself. I also did a little rechearch regarding Malifecint and it helped a lot. Thats it.
