This photo was taken at one of my favorite locations in my own city - La Jolla, California!Time
I chose evening time to get the sun low on the horizon.Lighting
I wanted to highlight the potholes as part of this image, but also wanted to shoot into the sun to get some dramatic effect. The flare was a side effect, but I think it added to the overall drama of the image!Equipment
I used a Canon 60D with EF10-22 lens on a tripod.Inspiration
These potholes are unique features in a specific part of the beach; they are revealed only during low tide. So timing is crucial in getting them right..Editing
I used a Lightroom to process the RAW image and finished in Photoshop with bit of sharpening.In my camera bag
