Mike,
I love this photo. It has light, movement, multiple objects of interest and well used black space. There are however, two things that bother me a little bit, both having to do with light. The first is there's a little dot of light at the bottom of the photo that doesn't seem to add anything, but distracts my attention. I am somewhat ambivalent about expressing my second observation that has to do with the presence of a large white light to the left of the bridge. The brightness of the light distracts my focus on the beauty of the bridge, however it also emits some nice rays which suggest a rising sun contrasting with the beautiful moon. I wonder if adjusting the intensity of its whiteness might benefit the overall effect of the shot. I am not a pro so please take my comments as honest feedback from an experienced amateur. This is a wonderful complex photo just as it is. Thank you for sharing it!

You make some good points here, and I really appreciate that you've taken the time to really look at and critique my work! The light at the bottom is a streetlight that I probably should have cloned out. The road leading to the bride didn't survive the crop, and just that streetlight remained... And I agree with you. Now that you've pointed it out, it is distracting. As for the bright light to the left, that's actually the lights from Giants Staduim in downtown SF. They're pretty bright, and this being an 8 second exposure saw a good amount of exposure there. I actually did bring it down a little in post, but I feel like this is a situation where, "it is what it is". Those were simply bright lights that were there, and I left them in because I felt like they added balance to the composition. I hope that you can understand my point of view there! At the end of the day, I appreciate that you took the time to look closely at my images. Please feel free to critique any others! :)

I think this is an awesome shot. And I think Mehen gave a great critique but I personally Love everything in this shot. I don't see the light on the left as a distraction but I think it adds to the dynamics of this. Just my opinion. That what is so cool about this site. Different tastes for each of us.
