I had just stepped out of my apartment in Pueblo,Colorado, to get some fresh air when I just happen to noticed something walking up the wall of the building... she was walking slowly so i put the camera/ phone on the it's side. But then, I couldn't tell how close she was getting to me so I managed to capture this one and only shot. And it is color. Thank you!!!Time
It was late evening, and after sitting in front of the computer, I had to get outdoors.Lighting
I did notice that because of the direction the light was coming from that her shadow was something from a horror movie. She was a bit higher up on the wall then the top of my head and her gait was very slow and almost methodical, like she wanted the world to see her 'good side'....lol.Equipment
The only piece of equipment I had at the moment was my droid razr phone, as I was still learning about photography, so i wanted to get her shadow and at the time I took this, I did not know what the image actually looked like till I went back in and then, I was surprised to see how it all came together!Inspiration
I have an uncanny love for observing the natural and "unnatural" (tell ya later!), and I don't know why, I am fascinated with insects and being brought up in the southwestern United States and being around all kinds of critters, being a little boy captivated by his surroundings, yeah! That little boy is taking pictures of those critters now!Editing
No. I didn't do anything to this image. It is in color and if you take a real closer look, toward the light source, there is a very light hue of violet. I have done post adjustments on a few pics but ninety nine percent are intouched.In my camera bag
As of yet, I am piecing together a bag. I just bought a Canon EOS Rebel T6 dslr. But, first, always to me, is an operational, working camera. This is for the photographer to be able to capture the moment when the moment is now. But to also include the practical pieces of photo taking. Extra batteries, cleaning supplies, i.e., lense cleaners, wipes, extra film or memory cards, a permanent marker, pen/pencil, paper for notes, flash bulbs, your various lenses of choice and of course the two major items needed to be an awesome picture taker... your love is definitely needed in there.....and your bag...lol!!! But as far as advice, man, this website has many tutorials and experienced photographers of whom I am still gaining education and the "little things" that will help us achieve our goals!Feedback
One day I was talking to my older sister when she reminded me of my dad. He was a professional photographer and I had totally forgot that and I have always felt throughout my life that I always needed to have the view finder of a camera on my eye! But when I took my first steps down this road, I didn't know what to take pictures of. Then a wonderful photographer told me to take pictures of everything! In time, you will find what you like and you will know it, when you take a real good look at one of those photos and you say WOW!!! I can't wait to see what you captured now!!! Muncho Gracias!!!
