Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the Sno Valley in the country of Georgia.

Time

Taken early afternoon during a wander round this lady's village. Her pup is a Georgian Shepherd dog.

Lighting

Just ordinary daylight lighting.

Equipment

Shot on a Canon 5D with a 24-105 canonb lens.

Inspiration

I love photographing people going about their daily routines, and this lady was really happy to have her picture taken with the pup.

Editing

I use Photoshop to process my raw files, though this one did not need a lot of work, just a little subduing of the background to make the main subjects stand out.

In my camera bag

I carry very little equipment. For this type of travel photography, where you can't expect people to pose for very long, I carry just the one camera body and two lenses. Thje 24-105 and a 17-40 for interior shots.

Feedback

Always talk to your subjects, and pass the time of day before you even lift the camera. It makes for a more relaxed shot.
