This photo was taken on the shores of Washington Park, located in Michigan City, INTime
It was taken at 9:20am on October 30, 2012 It was when hurricane Sandy was pounding our nation. Lake Michigan experienced up to 25 ft waves. Wind was blowing at around 60mph.Lighting
No but trying to photograph with 60 mile an hour wind is a challenge.Equipment
I used a Nikon D300s only because at the time that was the fastest camera I had at the time. I knew that the winds would be the challenge here. So unlike all the other photographers I did not use a tripod as the wind was blowing all the other photographers around trying to secure tripod. I positioned my legs held my ground and fired as many shots as I could hoping I would get one that would make me smile. This one did..Inspiration
My love for photography and nature. I do more commercial photography for living. I love nature photography and when the news announced 25ft waves I knew this could be an awesome sight.Editing
Lightroom 4 or 5 cannot remember and CS6.In my camera bag
Today I am proud to say I have 4 cameras all nikons, my newest being Nikon D850, great for event photography.Feedback
Tripod is not the way to go. Use yourself as the tripod.
