This photo was taken at the Baltimore National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland.Time
I remember getting this shot. My grandfather was visiting for the first time in a while because my grandmother passed away and we wanted to take him somewhere that was new for him that was connected to the Maryland area which is why we settled on the National Aquarium. The only reason I remember this shot out of all of the shots I took was that I almost didn't get it. He's not the fastest so of course we didn't get through the aquarium very quickly when we finally reached the jellyfish display it was around 5 but they were about to close it for a private party but they let us in the exhibit for 5 min. I only got a couple of shots per tank, and was lucky enough to get this shot as one of them.Lighting
I didn't have any control over the lighting in this shot. However the Jellyfish (who I named Chester) created the perfect lighting. He was positioned right in front of the light in such a way that got rid of the refection of my camera in the glass.Equipment
Just me and my camera! :)Inspiration
I love taking pictures and I love the aquarium. I'm that one kid who always takes forever at museums and in this case the aquarium. I take the time to read the signs and take everything in. I also love taking pictures just to take pictures.Editing
No this is the original photo straight of my memory card.In my camera bag
I always have Cannon Rebel T3i body in my bag. Along with that I have the basic 18-55mm lense. In addition to that I have a 55-250 lense. You never know when you'll need extra memory so I also carry an additional 16GB SD card and my old 512MB chip from my old camera. Other than that I dont have much in my bag, which will hopefully change as I become a more advanced photographer and once I finish college and get a job. (Im a graduating highschool senior so my collection of equipment is limited)Feedback
This picture was a combination of perfect timing, luck and a mostly basic knowlege of aperture, exposure and other camera settings. Other than that I'm not sure what advice I would give, just take pictures in the moment, have fun and dont focus too much on achieving an exact final outcome, sometimes it's suprises that lead to a good shot!
