This photo was taken in Detroit, Michigan. As a flight attendant you get to go on lots of adventures and this city was full of great surprises!Time
I took this around 4 or 5pm. There were tourists everywhere and you're lucky to not see on in this photo!Lighting
It was a cloudy day. My favorite kind of day for shooting. I believe it was about to rain and I remember fumbling around in my bag to get what I needed for this shot before everything got wet!Equipment
I shot this on a Nikon D3200. I had the lens that came with it. An 18-55mm. I usually shoot Canon but this Nikon showed me a good time.Inspiration
I just really love architecture. I'm a easily impressed by massive buildings especially when they are symmetrical like this one! With the clouds rolling in I felt like I was in Gotham City and Batman was lurking around somewhere.Editing
I did! I love dramatic lighting so I did a heavy vignette here. I dodged the windows a bit to make them stand out a little more as well!In my camera bag
I have a very heavy bag and somehow I want it to get heavier! I have two cameras. A Canon 7D and a 70D. An arsenal of lenses but I like my 50mm, and 18-135mm the most right now. I also have a 35mm prime that has amazing depth so that's fun to play with as well.Feedback
Just look for things that please your eye! If they please yours chances are they will please someone else's. I love symmetry and so does your brain! I try to find shapes and patterns that can interest that part of your brain that loves things to look perfect!
