Ohhh... I have had a very awesome and productive weekend! All three days I was somewhere shooting something and mostly because of the weather! :) now

Had awesome time hiking the highest mountain in Bergen.

Hiking with wife is not a time for photography. But anyway I found some nice shots.

I made this shot near Tvindefossen Waterfall in Norway.

There is a monkey mountain in Hua Hin, Thailand. One of the must see places there.

City train rail, called Bybanen, in Bergen, Norway.

Time

I took this photo right after sunset, during blue hour. It's getting dark pretty fast in Norway in autumn. It's about 9pm.

Lighting

Just natural and city lights.

Equipment

Sony nex 6 + Sel1018 lens and, of course, tripod (cheap manfrotto).

Inspiration

I was walking around in the downtown of Bergen very often but I'v never found this spot. I knew that this is the shot when I saw these lanterns.

Editing

Just a regular raw post processing in Lightroom. Open up shadows, close down highlights, contrast and exposure adjustments, set white and black points, sharpen and a bit of noise reduction (because of opened shadows). And the key for this photo, I turned on the lights on lanterns by using radial filter and increasing exposure value.

In my camera bag

Nex 6 body, kit lens, 50 1.8, 50 to 210 zoom, 10 to 18 wide angle and old Helios 58 f2.0. I take my tripod almost always, except times when I'm going light, just a body and one lens. My Vanguard up rise 45 camera bag is always filled with cleaning stuff, 10 stop filter and a lot of candies (diabetic stuff).

Feedback

Don't be afraid to get your gear out. Spending some time at night in the city always rewards me with some good photographs.
