Sometimes we get to experience God in nature. This was on the last day of 2012. I had not planned on shooting because of the stormy conditions. But the sun popped out for only for 20 minutes. What a moment and one I will never forget.
The name "Malaya Shines" is to honor a young 22 month old girl who recently passed. She battled brain cancer for 15 months of her short life. Her parents thought this help them feel her shining down on them. This is a great honor and very special.

I agree... For a split second the beauty of God is revealed to us (a blessing in itself) but when we have the ability to capture it and freeze it in time for everyone to gaze upon it is truly a testament to His handiwork. Great job with capturing this moment :)

A simply amazing, truly stunning photograph. I don't believe in G-d, but this is a truly special photograph by a truly talented photographer, dedicated to a brave brave soul. Simply a beautiful package.

Whether a person believes in God or not (I happen to) anyone seeing this pic will surely say "Wow!" I thank my Creator for the ability to say "Wow!" and congratulate you, Larry, on such a superb capture (and for winning the Light on water Contest, too!)

Man, theres a huge difference between taking a pretty picture and capturing a majestic split second in time. Makes me think of the song by Moby - "God Moving Over The Face of The Water" www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tI1pu5rfZw

It is a touching tribute, Larry. There is a higher power at work here, creating a triangulation of water, land, and sky.
