Location
This photo was taken in my backyard. I picked up my daughter from school and her hair looked beautiful. The weather had been crazy all month and finally it was the perfect day. We drove around my neighborhood looking for a new spot but no luck. When we got home I looked out in my backyard and the light was just right. We quickly got a bouquet of flowers from a vase and took a couple of shots. Sometimes location doesn't matter as long as you capture the moment.Time
I took this image at 6:54pm in March of 2015. Sunsets at around 7:15pm so I didn't have much time. I think I ended up with 10 images all together.Lighting
I'm not an expert on lighting but I try to shoot during the magic hour from 6pm to 7pm. I've noticed a great improvement on my images when I started doing this and definitely worth the try.Equipment

Images I've previously seen from other photographers, flowers blooming, warm weather, beautiful sunsets, and the perfect setting all around me.Editing
After lightly retouching the skin I decided to changes the color of the background. I used a soft brush and selected my colors from the flowers that she is holding. I painted on and changed up my blending modes for a more natural effect. I loved how everything blended together.In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D800, 85mm f1.4 Nikkor lens, 35mm f/1.4 Nikkor lens, a SB 900, lithium batteries, extra camera battery, cleaning kit,and I tend to stick a reflector on my front side zipper.Feedback
You never know what you can achieve if you don't try. Photoshop is an amazing tool that can take you to the highest levels of creativity. Even though, my image was simple, with Photoshop I was able to create something unique, beautiful, and memorable.
