I've been wanting to go find Hollow Rock on Lake Superior for a long time. So when I was invited up to shoot the lighting of Split Rock Light House in memory of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald in 1975, I couldn't resist. With the lighting being on a Sunday this year, we had an extra day to go out and shoot. I drove up to Hollow Rock, which is just south of Grand Portage, and worked my way back down the side of Lake Superior.
