In South Africa it gets dark by 6pm and pretty much pitch black by 7pm. Whilst dad was busy, I got his tripod and took some photos of the moon. It was a very clear night and the moon looked even more amazing through my lens.

that's incredible!! exactly what camera+lens? I see that you said it had 30x zoom and -2 exposure but do you know the name of the camera (and lens if there is one?)

Sorry it took me a while to reply, I used my Canon Powershot SX40 HS (you can google it if you want), i actually used +2 exposurre but with a fast shutterspeed so that my photo woulden't just be a blur (I needed a high exposure because the faster shutter speed made it too dark).
