I took this photo at the Carnival in Weymouth, Dorset. The Red Arrows appear there every year and me and my family just love them.Time
I think the time was about half past three in the afternoon and it was a gorgeous sunny day.Lighting
Well, as you can see from the photo, the weather conditions were absolutely spot on! Clear blue skies and lots of sunshine.Equipment
I was using my trusty Canon 350D camera with a 75-300 lens. I had a steady hand that day and didn't use a tripod at all.Inspiration
I love The Red Arrows and try to get a good photo of them each year. This particular year, I was very fortunate to get this great shot.Editing
I've not done any processing on this photo, it is as it came out of the camera. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon 1100D with my 75-300 lens and also my 18-55 lens. I like the 18-55 lens because it's a great all round lens. I also carry a small macro lens and a variety of filters.Feedback
Try to keep the sun behind you with a low ISO. It's always good to keep the 'noise' down. If you don't have a tripod, maybe try to lean your camera on a stable surface. I used multi-shot to get this photo. It's a lot easier to get the shot you want.
