Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a hiking trip at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland Florida

Time

My family and I went for a morning hiking trip and came across this shortly before noon.

Lighting

This picture was taken with the light from the sun.

Equipment

I took this photo with a Nikon 3100 with my 55-300 lens

Inspiration

At that point in time I was interested in getting shots of butterflies because of there coloring and the way they attract the eye

Editing

I do believe I cropped a little off this photo but since the light was perfect for me I did not feel the need to alter.

In my camera bag

Normally on hiking trips I take my main camera (in this case a Nikon 3100) and my 2 main lenses. A 15-55 and a 55-300 plus a lense cloth just incase.

Feedback

I feel everyone observes the world in different ways but of you truly want a picture of something/someone follow your subject and be prepared. I watched and followed this butterfly fly in circles until it landed on this flower. I missed the shot at least 5 times before I got this one because it kept flying off just as I got focused in.
