I took this image a couple weeks back at Coolum Beach, Australia.
As you can see it's a nearly full rainbow. This is an exposure blend and the exif data on this pic is from the sky not the foreground exposure which was:
Iso50 - f22 - 0.3sec - 14mm.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Coolum Beach, Australia.

Time

This was taken in the late afternoon after a shower had passed through and soaked me, the sun came out afterwards and lit the sky up producing this nearly full rainbow.

Lighting

The lighting in this shot was just from the late afternoon sun setting and producing the lovely rainbow in this image.

Equipment

I used a Canon 6d and Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens for this shot plus a tripod to keep it nice and still.

Inspiration

Well I've always wanted to get a rainbow shot like this so I went out during a showery day in hope to be treated to a rainbow in the afternoon light and it just happened to pay off for me.

Editing

With this image I mainly just added contrast, vibrance, and darkened to sky a little bit, This is also a 2 image exposure blend so I had to use Photoshop to blend the sky and foreground together to get the final image.

In my camera bag

I normally just have my Canon 6d, Samyang 14mm f/2.8 lens and a Canon 75-300mm lens incase I need the extra zoom. Plus my tripod.

Feedback

Patience is a must trying to capture any sort of landscape image as conditions can be difficult to predict sometimes, If you don't get the shot the first time keep trying and trying until you get it.
