About your question you would have to get the answer form the flies, however the answer would be equivalent to fearsome predators ... nowadays flies may be the prey or one of the preys ... 300 million years ago, Maganeura the giant dragon fly has a 75 cm wing span so you can imagine that flies were not their prey ... but that was a long time ago when the oxygen level of the air was at a level of 35%, so 14% more than what it is now ... an air that was not breathable by humans and quite inflammable (flammable) so bad idea to light up a candle or cigar ... Anyway this an excellent master piece. Well done.
