Behind The Lens

Location

I took this image from the roadside that goes through Banff National Park Alberta Canada.

Time

This was taken during the early evening on a bit of a windy day.

Lighting

The sun was not setting yet but it was also not a harsh light.

Equipment

I used what I had with me which was my D3100, 50mm lens and tripod.

Inspiration

No matter how many times I take a photo of the beautiful Mt. Rundle, I always see it in a new light.

Editing

It first went into ACR, which I brought the highlights down and the shadows up, then into photoshop where I used a vignette and watermarked.

In my camera bag

The added lens that was with me this day was my Sigma 150-500mm.

Feedback

Sunrise or sunset is the best time to capture the alpenglow on the mountains, which also depends on which side of the mountain you are on.
