Location
This was taken on our way home from Jasper NP Canada along the Cowboy Trail (highway 22) in Alberta.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon after a rainstorm.Lighting
I love to shot in natural light. Cloudy days also help with the even lighting.Equipment
I use my Nikon D800 and usually have my Sigma 150-500 mm VR attached for wildlife photo opportunities. I also travel with my trusty piece of memory foam cushion for resting the camera on the truck door for extra stabilization.Inspiration
I am in awe of all birds and especially birds of prey so I'm always looking to see what I can photograph next.Editing
I use Photoshop as a regular part of my post-processing which includes cropping and watermarking my images. In my camera bag
I like to have my D800 with the sigma 150-500 mm attached as well as my D3100 with a 16-35 mm attached for those landscape shots and I always have my Manfrotto tripod with me as well.Feedback
I always like to be prepared for the unexpected so its not such a huge surprise. It helps to be in the passenger seat so that your eyes can be scanning the landscape for those unexpected moments. You can find beauty anywhere and everywhere, you just need to look.
