My wife and I were eating breakfast at the kitchen table, I looked out the window and saw the finch eating the seeds from the black eyed Susans outside the courtyard wall. I ran and grabbed my camera, opened the window and waited for the bird to return. With the morning sun from the left , it highlighted the finch and flowers vivid yellow. I managed to get 6 shots before a dog came by and frightened the bird away.
