Location
Shot on my first visit to Sydney's Taronga zoo. I had to jostle several school children to get to the glass. I knew if i did not shoot with the lens on the glass i would get reflections.Time
I seem to remember it being shot sometime in the morning. I know we arrived on the first ferry out to Taronga zoo around 30 mins before it opened.Lighting
The lighting was terrible. It was an overcast day and i was shooting through a tinted glass.Equipment
Canon 5dmkii with the canon 70-200 f4. I love this lens for travelling. It is so light but captures such sharp images.Inspiration
I always have some form of camera on me wherever i go. But for a zoo visit i will always have the trusty SLR and a longish lens. I love animals and have been trying to get a good image of a tiger for years.Editing
I dont usually do much post work and try to get things right in camera. This image just had a little colour correction (from the tinted glass i shot through) a little contrast shift with a slight sharpen and thats it.In my camera bag
My trusty 5dmkii a 16-35mm canon and a 70-200 f4 canon. Depending on where im going i will usually have a set of nisi filters also. An nd 6 and 10 and a soft and solid grad.Feedback
Be prepared to push your way to where you need to be to get the shot. Polietly of course.
