Nikon 18-55 on my D50, i don't have it anymore upgraded to the D7100 so cannot go and look as i sold it with the camera!

Behind The Lens

Location

Zell Am See Austria, i had actually gone to take a landscape picture of the lake, an exact spot from the previous month to show the change in seasons, however when i got there it started to rain, and the planned shot could not be taken, at that point i noticed the rain droplets forming on the leaves so decided to take some shots as i thought they looked interesting

Time

Around 11am

Lighting

It was a rainy dull day, because i shot in RAW adding and enhancing the lighting was made simple in photoshop

Equipment

This particular shot was taken with a NIKON D50, nothing spl, just got the composure right, that said i probably took around 80 shots and only processed 3, the rest did not make the cut

Inspiration

I have been taking leaf close ups for around 2 years, and always on the look out for patterns or natural beauty, which hopefully i captured here

Editing

Yes, sharpened, adjusted the lighting levels, and bolstered the shadows, not huge amount just tweaks to get the right feel.

In my camera bag

I like to keep things simple, i usually have my NIKON D7100, cleaning cloths, monkey grip or full tripod depending on what i am planning to shoot, Lens wise, i travel light, as i am often on my bike or motorbike, so just one lens again depending on what i am planning to shoot

Feedback

More is better, with digital, u can take lots of shots and then sift through once back in the computer, quite often with these type of shots, you are surprised what they look like on a big screen rather than on the viewer on the camera, experiment, and keep at it
