I took this photo at skookumchuck narrows in British Columbia Canada . These are tidal rapids and in certain spots on an incoming tide there are a series of standing waves that the adrenaline junky's like to play in .Time

Watching the kayakers play was mind blowing they sit still on a wave of water rushing at 35kms hour underneath them I just had to take picturesEditing
This was processed in lightroom 5 I worked on the water to enhance the spiral effectIn my camera bag
I usually carry a 300mm prime a 150 macro 80-200 2:8 20mm and 50mm prime and a fisheye lens and my tripod this pretty much suits my needsFeedback
Get as close and as low as possible to the water as you can and have fun. this is not a typical macro lens shot but it proves that you don't have to have the recommended gear to get something exceptional
