Location
The photo was taken in San Miguel De Allende in state of Guanajuato, MexicoTime
We were spending most of our time walking and admiring the colorful architecture and history of this beautiful medieval town. This was one of many pictures taken during those walks. It was mid afternoon when the photo was taken.Lighting
Mid day light is quite harsh, however the portrait was made in a shaded area and the lighting on the face was a reflection from the street in front of the building. I had to use 1600 ISO in order to take a picture.Equipment
Canon 6D. Tamron lens 28-75 - 1/80s/f5.6/ISO 1000Inspiration
I was always bothered by poverty, that forces some of us to look for help on the streets. People that are living on the margin, very often not seen and not even acknowledged by society. The disparity between the rich and poor, gap that is becoming wider and that is affecting more and more people all over the world, from least developed to the richest countries is something that is making me see these people all the time.Editing
Vignetting and burning were used to make the face stand out from the background. In my camera bag
It was usually Canon 6D, Tamron 28-75 or Canon 24-105. I am switching to Fuji since it is lighter, more fun and easier to work with.Feedback
Take a stroll through the downtown of your own city and look for the people that the others are not looking at, avoiding, forgetting them the moment that they had passed them. You will be probably amazed by the number of people that had to go to the streets to seek help.
