This was shot inside one of the abandoned buildings of Letchworth Village, a mental institution with a dark history of human experimentation and appalling living conditions. I think this abandoned bedroom helped capture the eeriness of the location.

I've seen a ton of pics from here and have shot here myself and this is one of the most innovative and unique shots I've ever seen from here. Most "model in the abandonment" shots are cliche at this point but this is really outstanding.

Thanks so much! Although she is a model, we never set out to take modeling pics at this location. She just so happens to be as fascinated by abandoned locations as me. So this was just kind of a "spur of the moment" shot, which is why she's not wearing anything special. I too find those pictures pretty boring most of the time, but something about this empty room just called out to us. I really appreciate the kind words!

Capture Crazy weird place vibe with flare...check! Great image. I'm curios if your ISO was so high how did you remove most of the digital noise without losing detail?

Thank you for the nice comments. It's been a long time since I edited this one...in fact I probably should re-edit it some time soon. I've lost the riginal edit settings, but most likely I removed some of the noise in LR by increasing the luminance a bit. In the realy dark areas, I probably just increased the blacks so far that I blew them out (no detail = no noise).
