This photo was taken east of Roff, OK. I am an avid photography enthusiast.Time
This is one of my favorite photos that I have taken. Captured this shot around 11:00 AM during a major snow storm. We have a 4-wheel drive truck so we were able to go out and drive the backroads. While doing so we can across two owls flying around. We turned around the first chance we got to see if they would light somewhere. And lucky me, this one did.Lighting
Not much to say about the light as it was snowing really hard and it is all natural lighting.Equipment
I photographed the owl using my Sony 77ii with my Tamron 15-600mm lens.Inspiration
I was just so lucky that we came upon the owl and he lit on the post. Though I had a large zoom on, he was no more than 25 feet from me. I love how the intensity of his eyes and the way the snow blurs the background. I think the grass really frames the shot!Editing
Just lightened the photo up in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always have my Sony 77ii with me wherever I go. As for lenses, I carry a Tamron 150-600mm, Sony 50mm and a Sony 300mm lens.Feedback
You know biggest advice is patience. We took our time, waiting to see if the would light and relax. And it paid off for me!
